SUMMARY
The 35th running of the Healdsburg time trial went off again without a hitch. The heat was definitely a factor and several riders suffered for several minutes after the finish trying to rehydrate and cool down. Despite the heat, 14 riders did brave the course and all finished -- even Mark Slavonia who flatted and had the presence of mind to stop his personal clock and restart after he'd changed a tire. Rich Desmond led all riders at 24:56 despite battling a lot of wind. Jay & Lyn Thomson came out for the first time and seriously lowered the tandem record. Rich Holve stepped into fourth place on the masters leader board with his first ever appearance.
