SUMMARY Due to unfortunate circumstances, Joe and I were unable to ride in the event tonight. However, we were lucky enough to hang out with Kathy Storin at the start/finish while 7 others rode the course... We had a headwind for the starting/finishing stretch, which is really what matters on this course, as the run up West Dry Creek is relatively sheltered. While not as intense as last week, it was reported to have still been a heartbreaker after the right turn off of Lambert Bridge Road. While being treated once again to Jady's performance, we had a return visit by Susan Noble, as well as first-timers Richard Battles, Richard Stone, Peter Potrebic, Dan Fifer, and over-50-record-setter Greg Durbin. We must have gotten the starting order right, because all of the riders came in within just a few minutes of one another; some bunched up just seconds apart. Good stuff! After a great little BS session about wind and personal battles with the psyche, some headed for the Bear Republic while the rest of us headed off to less ambitious pursuits. Thanks to all who came out this week. Hope to see more riders in weeks to come! How about some more ladies! And if we get enough interest Joe and I are planning for a TTT as soon as we can.
