SUMMARY Many thanks to everybody who came out for the 3rd running of the Friday Night Time Trial yesterday. We had all of the original 3 out there, plus 2 newbies, Justin Thorn and Susan Noble. Big, big, big thanks to Justin's wife Tara, who was gracious enough to run the clock so I could ride the event. It was great to have enough riders on course to have a rabbit to chase, then realize that you are actually a rabbit as well. What a mind-game! The wind in the starting stretch was formidable, but nothing compared to it during the long run down Dry Creek Road. It's hard to imagine how a 10-mile ride can be so tough until you try to do it at full-tilt. |
